››› The perfect mix of bohemia & peace with all the right people
This is what a wedding should be!
From the moment I showed up I was so thrilled to be there I could hardly stand it. The greenhouse, all the wildflowers, the eclectic mix of dinnerware, the tablescapes, the fit pit & blankets.. I could go on & on. Her dress? Perfect. Her jewelry? On point. Her son’s handmade suit jacket? Just. stop.
Weddings are usually such a heightened rush of emotion but Claire and Josh were so stoic I felt really calm the whole day. The adrenaline rush from all the HUGE feelings of a wedding is something that usually takes me a day or two to recover from [yes, I will cry at your ceremony], I always aim to spend my weekdays in-between weddings in a state of as much peace as possible. It’s really cool to meet a couple who is so steady in the their love that it spread peace around the whole day, it definitely effects the photos.
I’ve been pretty behind on blogging everything I shoot because I’m so slammed with jobs & we are traveling constantly but I wanted to make sure these photos got up and loved! xoxo
These photos were taken just outside of Eugene, Oregon [ N 44° 3′ 53.6162″ + W 123° 6′ 1.5601″] on a family property & edited in Lightroom using VSCO presets.
We are headed to Oregon this week, so excited to be in the fog & trees. I’m praying for rain! [but not on the 2 weddings I’m shooting of course…]
Since we are heading that direction, I thought I’d post some photos I took for my favorite bakery there. Noisette is absolutely the most lovely little shop and they have THE BEST [I kid you not] pastries & food. I wish I could eat there every meal of every day I am there! I am in luck, they are doing to cake for one of the weddings. Yay!
These photos were taken in the beautiful natural light of the Pacific Northwest! at my home in Eugene, Oregon [N 44° 3′ 53.6162″ + W 123° 6′ 1.5601″] The cakes were baked by Noisette Bakery, flowers & styling by Jane in the Woods. They were edited with VSCO Fuji 400H.
Here is a embarrassing story about this perfect wedding in the woods in Portland…
I was about 7 months preggo [here is a day-of visual for you I quickly shot while running up and down three flights of stairs to get all of what was happening]
& to be honest I was having one of those OMG all my dreams are coming true kind of moments. Scary. But AWESOME. I will never be able to put into words how thankful I was to arrive to this group of the loveliest people. Feeling like a cement brick & jello at the same time all while my heart was leaping out of my frozen self towards my truest desire.
Cheers to Vadim & Yana! I wish them so much happiness.
These photos were taken at Mary S. Young park [ N 45° 22′ 58.0013″ + W 122° 37′ 32.2247″] near Portland, Oregon.
