I’ve written before about how important it is to me to fine the perfect-most-ideal photo shoot location for my clients. I can never be exactly sure what will happen but the time I spend chatting with people & getting to know what they want + the time I spend out in Sedona everyday in the ever changing scenery, ›I always get a crystal clear feeling of the right spot‹
This shoot was no exception & it was even a reminder to me of why I put in all the hours & days of what I do. Red Rock Crossing is not one of my favorite spots to shoot, the light is harsh, it’s crowded.. & a couple other things that do not put it at the top of my list. During the week before this shoot there was a little voice in my head telling me that Red Rock Crossing [also know as Crescent Moon Ranch] was going to be the perfect place. I kept asking, really? Really?? But it persisted. So a couple days before I decided to go scout it out & as it turns out all the water from the mountains was melting so fast the whole place was flooded & it was going to be a perfect-most-ideal photo shoot location. Win. It turned out perfect & fit them as a couple EXACTLY.
These photos were taken in Sedona at Crescent Moon Ranch/Red Rock Crossing + Lover’s Knoll on Upper Red Rock Loop. The moonrise was huge and absolutely breathtaking to watch.
