When I showed up at this wedding just outside of Eugene, I knew immediately that these would be some of my favorite wedding photos to date. [making my job as a photographer even more dreamy]

The florals? Floored. The venue [Eagle Rock Lodge]? Stellar. All her girls’ purple gypsy dresses? KILLER. I’m in love with everything about this day. I wanted to run around & party like a peace, love & flower child all night long.
It won’t be hard to get an idea of how amazingly solid these two are once you see their photos. I don’t know if I’ve ever been to a more lighthearted & FUN wedding day. Every one in attendance couldn’t help but hoot & holler when these two said their vows & made it official. It was so refreshing & inspiring to attend such un-PC [un-politically correct] wedding. You could just feel the real love in your soul & it was a big deal.
This wedding happened at Eagle Rock Lodge, the stunning florals were designed by Passionflower Design, the [SERIOUSLY] delicious food & dessert were provided by Party Downtown & Noisette Bakery. I had SO much, thank you to everyone!!!
Working with a bride who was referred from a friend, is the MOST amazing compliment I could ever hope to have. This wedding at the Jasper House Farm was such an honor in so many ways, photographing it was a dream & I loved every single minute of it.
This beautiful & wondrous girl, Nicole, was sent to me by her friend Kali [whose totally swoon-worthy elopement at the Oregon coast captured mine & many hearts] and ›I could gush all day about the perfection‹ The setting was incredible & the team at this new venue were rockstars. Not only is their farm a working hazelnut farm, but they put on an impeccable event & did all the floral design themselves! [I would highly recommend this place to anyone in Eugene planning a wedding!]
To me this is the ultimate in bohemian Fall wedding style [& don’t miss the falling leaf shots at the end!] Thank you Evan & Nicole for inviting me to be part of your day xoxox
This wedding was taken at the Jasper House Farm just outside Eugene Oregon, to contact them send Don a note jasperhousefarm@gmail.com . They are incredibly lovely & weddings that take place on their property are truly blessed with goodness.
I LOVE this wedding! & I’m really excited to be sharing it today.
››› The perfect mix of bohemia & peace with all the right people
This is what a wedding should be!
From the moment I showed up I was so thrilled to be there I could hardly stand it. The greenhouse, all the wildflowers, the eclectic mix of dinnerware, the tablescapes, the fit pit & blankets.. I could go on & on. Her dress? Perfect. Her jewelry? On point. Her son’s handmade suit jacket? Just. stop.
Weddings are usually such a heightened rush of emotion but Claire and Josh were so stoic I felt really calm the whole day. The adrenaline rush from all the HUGE feelings of a wedding is something that usually takes me a day or two to recover from [yes, I will cry at your ceremony], I always aim to spend my weekdays in-between weddings in a state of as much peace as possible. It’s really cool to meet a couple who is so steady in the their love that it spread peace around the whole day, it definitely effects the photos.
I’ve been pretty behind on blogging everything I shoot because I’m so slammed with jobs & we are traveling constantly but I wanted to make sure these photos got up and loved! xoxo
These photos were taken just outside of Eugene, Oregon [ N 44° 3′ 53.6162″ + W 123° 6′ 1.5601″] on a family property & edited in Lightroom using VSCO presets.
We are headed to Oregon this week, so excited to be in the fog & trees. I’m praying for rain! [but not on the 2 weddings I’m shooting of course…]
Since we are heading that direction, I thought I’d post some photos I took for my favorite bakery there. Noisette is absolutely the most lovely little shop and they have THE BEST [I kid you not] pastries & food. I wish I could eat there every meal of every day I am there! I am in luck, they are doing to cake for one of the weddings. Yay!
These photos were taken in the beautiful natural light of the Pacific Northwest! at my home in Eugene, Oregon [N 44° 3′ 53.6162″ + W 123° 6′ 1.5601″] The cakes were baked by Noisette Bakery, flowers & styling by Jane in the Woods. They were edited with VSCO Fuji 400H.
››› I was just going about my day workin’ when a full box of Eugene Wedding’s Magazine was put into my hands. Time stood still and I was completely frozen while simultaneously unable to control myself. Shaking my hands like crazy and tearing up I was honored.
Ben & Christel were a really special couple & seeing their love grace the pages of a publication was wonderful. Cheers to a full life!
// Additionally, I also had the pleasure of contributing to the magazine as a wedding style advisor. Check out that article › here
Or check out Ben & Christel’s adorable farmer’s market engagement session › here
››› Next weekend I’m traveling to Oregon to shoot a Portland Wedding & then a costal elopement that I could not be more anxious for. The bride sent me the Pinterest board of her vision and it’s so Northwest in all the best ways. it is truly the greatest gift to be able to make art with people [and wear your hunter boots while making it!] The Northwest fog will be so welcomed after flying out of Phoenix.
In other news, Sedona is actually an excellent place for growing magnolias and many other kinds of luscious blooms & greens. When I gathered these beauts [below] in the spring it was a little bitter sweet, Oregon is so full of lush greenery that any day is pretty much a good day to forage for a bouquet. So when contemplating moving to Sedona, I was very much looking forward to an intensely epic succulent garden but I figured my house would never be filled with quite as much woodland life. Looks like everything is working out wonderfully.
// This just might be my favorite dress of the season… and Katie wears it so well
This is the account of a wedding I photographed in Eugene, Oregon. It was amazing and full of love.
››› This bride was such a treat. Between her stunning red wedding hair, walking down the aisle to Lana Del Rey [what I dream about!] or being just about the sweetest person ever, this day was joy. The wedding took place on their family farm just outside of Eugene in Cheshire, Oregon surrounded by Douglas Fir I just want to immerse myself in forever.
The gentle ease & flow of being a photographer in Oregon is such a reflection of the sweeping landscapes. Everything is so rich and the world feels so full of textures and light. Get ready for some luminous portraits in the trees.
The bride hand picked every single one of these amazing bridesmaid dresses!
This wedding happened on the family’s private farm in Cheshire, Oregon. The bride walked down the aisle to Lana Del Ray & everything was pretty much perfect.
››› It’s no secret, I’m a big fat fan of flower crowns & when all the stars align something called peony heaven appears. Have you ever seen something so magnificent?! I’d like to wear this everyday please!
I’m thrilled to share these photos of the stunning Brianna of Little Arrow Stationary! She is a visionary and I’m thankful to call her a friend. A real girl with raw talent. Watching someone dream up their life and create it around them is the ultimate inspiration, it fills me up to the brim with hope & makes my heart happy.
Enjoy! xoxox
